A+E Networks’ History has launched with Modern Times Group (MTG)-owned pay TV platform Viasat in the Baltic states.
History has been available since July 1 in Viasat’s Gold and Silver packages on the DTH platform in Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia, meaning that viewers will be able to watch the channel’s shows including Pawn Stars and Counting Cars as well as upcoming series including Appalachian Outlaws.
“We are delighted to partner with A+E Networks UK to bring History to our platform. The channel’s premium factual entertainment content is the perfect addition to our diverse and extensive programming and will further strengthen our rich offering of documentary programmes,” said Jette Nygaard-Andersen, executive vice-president of MTG´s Nordic and Baltic pay TV operations.
We are pleased to be working in partnership with Viasat to bring History to even more viewers in the Baltics. The History line-up of premium content will make the network a great addition to Viasat’s current offering in the region,” said Christian Hoeyer, Nordic sales director, A+E Networks UK.
